FAQ: FAQ

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

You will remain fully clothed during the entire treatment, so be sure to wear clean, comfortable clothing. Sweat pants or yoga pants, leggings, t-shirts, long sleeve cotton shirts or any other sort of active wear is recommended. Jewelry, belts, or other accessories should not be worn or should at least be removed before your treatment begins. It is not advisable to eat a heavy meal immediately before arriving and it is expected that patients take appropriate steps to ensure good hygiene before a treatment.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

Tui Na is a very gentle yet profound method of healing. All sessions begin with an assessment and treatment of the large muscles of the legs and back, leading to deeper levels in the tissues and structures of the body.

Massage techniques such as "rolling", "pressing", "grasping", and "rubbing" are used to move stagnation and tension out of the body, and every joint is gently mobilized. The hips, knees, and ankles are tractioned and rotated, finishing with the shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers for the full body protocol.

DO YOU HELP TREAT TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESS?

Absolutely. I have experience treating people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Scoliosis, hip replacements, Rheumatoid arthritis and have helped patients suffering from chronic anxiety and depression. Tui Na is unique in that it can be applied with precision and care to adapt treatment to even the most chronically ill patients.

HOW DO I PAY?

All major credit cards, cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, or Facebook pay are accepted. Unfortunately at this time I do not accept insurance.

WHAT IF I CAN'T AFFORD A TREATMENT?

My goal is to make Tui Na therapy accessible to everyone. Discounts are available for regular sessions and payment plans are available for those who cannot afford the services upfront.
